ACCUWEATHER ALERTS OF FLOODING SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCE
AccuWeather's world-renowned meteorologists once again issued the most advanced warning of historic amounts of rain on New Year's Eve in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central California. - On December 31, about 2 hours before the first report of flooding and the only imminent warning of flash flooding, AccuWeather For Business issued its Flash Flood Warning for San Francisco County, including the city of San Francisco.
- Our competitors never issued flood warnings for San Francisco County and the City of San Francisco. As such, only AccuWeather users would have been anticipating the urgent, life-threatening flash flooding.
An atmospheric river of moisture brought heavy rain, producing flash flooding that resulted in flooded streets, businesses, and homes with feet of water inside of them, mudslides, and saturating the ground allowing large trees to topple onto cars.
