AccuWeather's expert meteorologists anticipate a cold transition from October to November in the Northeast and Great Lakes, as a strong cold front will bring brisk conditions. Temperatures will be 5-15 degrees lower than historical averages in the early part of the week. A Canadian storm will bring snow showers to parts of the Great Lakes and Northeast, from eastern Minnesota to Maine, on Tuesday and Wednesday. AccuWeather meteorologists suggest the potential for a slushy coating to an inch of snow, especially in areas downwind of the Great Lakes, which could result in slippery and slow travel. A coastal storm is anticipated to develop off the mid-Atlantic coast, spreading rain along the coastal regions from the Delmarva Peninsula to the southern coast of New England.
