“Thank you and the team for the great session today!   On March 16, 2022, an EF1 tornado touched down in Sarasota, Florida, around 2:10 pm. I received a SkyGuard Tornado Warning notification at 1:51 pm, putting us under a warning from 2:10 pm to 2:25 pm. I received a SkyGuard Tornado Warning cancellation message at 2:21 pm. The impact area was our Sarasota Memorial Hospital campus in Sarasota. I quickly checked local news outlets, but no watches or warnings were issued for this event. The NWS sent an email at 3:44 am forecasting severe weather for our area during the day of March 16th. We were in the marginal risk category with expected impacts of damaging wind gusts/isolated tornadoes. Later in the afternoon, I began to see information about the tornado that touched down in Sarasota on several of the local news stations.
