Paul Pastelok

Lead U.S. Long-Range Forecaster

Paul Pastelok has been with AccuWeather for over 30 years. He has worked extensively with a variety of clients in radio and television broadcasting, newspapers, international forecasting, utility and construction companies, and now has a weekly long-range podcast.

Paul leads a team that focuses mainly on energy and retail clients and makes forecasts ranging from short-term to as far out as 12 months. The department has expanded globally and has developed long-range forecasts for Europe, Canada, South America and Asia. Paul also has experience in commodity, transportation, tropical and global drought forecasting.

Tyler Knowlton

Director Communications Communities and Partnerships, Plume Labs by AccuWeather

Tyler is Director communications communities and partnerships at Plume Labs - AccuWeather's center for environmental data and machine learning. He joined the Plume Labs team in 2017 to lead the company’s strategic communications and community engagement efforts. He has over 15 years experience in the field of public relations, communications, and policy development.Since launching AccuWeather's Climate Impact Program last year he has been connecting journalists, academics, and community groups with the data they need to protect the planet from two of its greatest threats: climate action failure and extreme weather.

Tyler has worked on international, national and local campaigns and projects—from leading Canada’s digital engagement strategy for the country’s 2010 presidency of the G8 and G20 summits and working as the chief strategist on digital innovation at Canada’s Department of Global Affairs, to leading province-wide public engagement commissions on rural and urban economic development in his role as Chief Public Engagement Strategist for the Canadian province of Nova Scotia (2014).

Building on his work with public engagement and deliberative policy development, he has gone on to develop graduate-level courses for the University of Central Asia focusing on public participation in Afghanistan and Central Asia (2016).
