AccuWeather meteorologists are monitoring another significant storm that will bring heavy rain and more snow to an already battered and buried California. Businesses in the storm's path should start preparing for significant impacts from heavy snow, flooding, and strong winds late this week. Companies, municipalities, and school districts using AccuWeather For Business severe warning services such as AccuWeather's SkyGuard® Warnings, or Snow Warning Service will be better prepared to protect their property, people, and assets.
The storm with milder air will bring heavy rain over the higher elevations already hit by several rounds of heavy snow this winter. The system will bring several impacts, including unleashing heavy rainfall, flash flooding, mudslides, feet of snow mountain snow, and strong winds from Thursday night into Saturday. There is an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 12 inches.

The storm can lead to rapid snowmelt in areas that have recently seen heavy snow, increasing the threat of flooding in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
Another round of storms will impact California and the Northwest early next week. A potent storm is expected to spread heavy rain and mountain snow above 7,000 feet across California Tuesday and Tuesday night.
With California being hit so hard by rain and snow this winter, AccuWeather's long-range meteorologist team believes the California drought will be wiped out by the early summer.
