Lou has been with AccuWeather since July of 1995, he manages the General Service Pod, the division which provides custom weather service warnings, forecasts, and briefings to entertainment and venue management companies, professional sports companies, municipalities, and government agencies. Lou was previously employed by State Street Research, as a Registered Representative while attaining designations and accreditation licenses from the NASD via the American College.
Over the years Lou has directed various product enhancements and marketing outreach efforts. In his time with AccuWeather, he has represented the company on panel discussions, and at trade shows and conventions.
His current responsibilities include the management and development of team members while growing the AccuWeather footprint globally.
Senior Meteorologist and Snow Warning Service Manager
Brian Wimer is a Level Four Senior Meteorologist, having achieved AccuWeather’s highest level and most important forecasting certification. He has been forecasting for AccuWeather for more than 40 years and has honed and refined his craft considerably over the decades to save lives and protect property.
For more than 25 years, Brian has managed AccuWeather’s popular Snow Warning Service and during the winter months, he is focused on forecasting snow and its specific impacts on cities, transportation, turnpikes, schools, and businesses to reduce liability, losses and reputational harm. He trains and leads other meteorologists in serving clients in various industries across the U.S.
Brian’s mantra is to “remain calm”, staying cool while taking swift action when it gets hectic during high volumes of warnings or client calls brought on by the ever-changing nature of snowstorms, devoted to AccuWeather’s mission of keeping people, communities, and businesses safe and protected.
