Thomas Bedard

Implementation Manager, Meteorologist

Tom Bedard is an Implementation Manager and Meteorologist at AccuWeather for Business. In this role, Tom is responsible for integrating AccuWeather’s business services into their client’s business continuity and emergency preparedness operations. He leads a team of technical support and emergency preparedness specialists who provide AFB clients with onboarding, training, and enterprise support.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from Penn State and has previously worked as a FEMA course developer, FEMA course instructor, and risk management analyst. He has been an active volunteer firefighter/EMT for over a decade, regularly works with local emergency management agencies, and also serves as a search and rescue K9 handler for human remains detection. Tom was the 2019-2021 Chair of the American Meteorological Society’s Committee on Emergency Management.

Lou Seidel

Director, Business Development

Lou has been with AccuWeather since July of 1995, he manages the General Service Pod this division which provides custom weather service warnings, forecasts, and briefings to entertainment and venue management companies, professional sports companies, municipalities, and government agencies. Lou was previously employed by State Street Research, as a Registered Representative while attaining designations and accreditation licenses from the NASD via the American College.

Over the years Lou has directed various product enhancements and marketing outreach efforts. In his time with AccuWeather, he has represented the company on panel discussions, and at trade shows and conventions.

His current responsibilities include the management and development of team members while growing the AccuWeather footprint globally.
