AccuWeather’s team of 100+ meteorologists is closely monitoring a slow-moving storm developing across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic that will bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and accumulating snow this weekend. West Virginia to northern Georgia and Alabama will see snow Saturday evening. Businesses will see a coating to an inch of snow, with higher totals in the higher elevations of the Appalachian Mountains. Up to 12 inches can fall in southeastern West Virginia along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. There is an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 30 inches in areas higher than 3,500 feet.
