During this time, AccuWeather’s enterprise-level service, SkyGuard, provided crucial warnings to clients more than 3 hours ahead of public warnings, including warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS). AccuWeather’s early warnings played a key role in businesses protecting their assets and employees. Luckily, despite the major damage to structures, no fatalities were reported. Additional success stories from November 2021: - **Levittown, NY** (EF-0 tornado) 85 mph peak winds: AccuWeather clients received a warning 16 minutes before the general public - **East Islip, NY** (EF-0 tornado) 85 mph peak winds: AccuWeather clients received 24 minutes of advance notice. The NWS warning came at the same time the tornado touched down - **Shirley, NY** (EF-1 tornado) 90 mph peak winds: AccuWeather clients received 26 minutes of advance notice. NWS warning was issued 2 minutes before touchdown - **Stonington, CT to Westerly, RI** (EF-1 tornado) 90 mph peak winds: AccuWeather clients received 23 minutes of advance notice. No NWS warning was issued - **Tulsa, OK** (3 tornadoes) 90 mph peak winds: AccuWeather clients received 11 minutes of advance notice.
