HEAVY SNOW AND SEVERE STORMS THREATEN
A strong storm moving into the West Coast will bring a significant shift to the country's weather. Accumulating snow, strong wind gusts, and severe thunderstorms are expected this weekend and into early next week. The storm will also bring swinging temperatures as the storm moves toward the central U.S.
Businesses will see accumulating snow from the Cascade Mountain Range through most of the Rockies and into the northern High Plains. The heaviest snow of more than a foot will fall across the mountains, but snow levels will drop to the lower terrain of eastern Montana and eastern Wyoming later this weekend. The AccuWeather Local StormMaxTM for the region is 30 inches.
But the storm will do the opposite further South, bringing strong wind gusts Sunday across the Four Corners region, the Plains, and Midwest, creating a high risk for potential wildfires.
