Big cities like New York City, Boston, and Portland, Maine, are all in the path of the storm and forecast to get significant snowfall.
Blizzard conditions are expected near the New England coast, including Boston, Portland, and Bangor, Maine, where wind gusts will be the highest on Saturday. Reduced visibility, downed trees, and power outages are expected. The powerful winds can also lead to coastal flooding and beach erosion across much of New England and the northern shore of Long Island.
