AccuWeather’s team of meteorologists is closely monitoring the risk for severe weather through the middle of the country midweek. The dangerous storm could bring the threat of tornadoes and flash flooding. AccuWeather For Business recommends companies in these areas start preparing now for the threat of severe weather. Portions of the Plains, Mississippi Valley, Southeast, and Ohio Valley will be at risk for over 48 hours starting Wednesday. Northeastern Texas and northern Louisiana to southern Missouri face the most significant threat.
As the storm tracks northeast on Thursday, the threat of damaging storms will encompass a wide swath from the Gulf Coast to the Ohio Valley. Businesses in these areas will see severe weather, including damaging winds, hail, flash flooding, and isolated tornadoes. There is an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 80 mph.
