After graduating from Northern Vermont University (formerly Lyndon State College) in 2020, Alex joined the AccuWeather team and immediately became heavily involved with long-range forecasting. Alex has helped produce seasonal forecasts for some of our largest clients and is highly regarded due to his expertise in long-range and hurricane forecasting and communication, despite being with the company for only a few years. Alex has combined his two passions- long-range and tropical forecasting – leading AccuWeather’s tropical team. Alex led the production of AccuWeather’s 2023 Atlantic, Eastern Pacific, and Central Pacific Hurricane forecasts and is the point person regarding questions on the upcoming season. Alex also serves as the Assistant Forecaster Hiring Coordinator – an important role in identifying top talent.

Don Coash began his career with AccuWeather as a Storm Warning Meteorologist, providing diverse organizations with strategic consultation and optimizing weather insights to mitigate their weather-related risks. With more than 28 years of experience in meteorology, Don delivers critical weather information to Fortune 500 companies and the military. A retired serviceman with the Air Force and Air National Guard, Don was the Chief of Weather Station operations for the Kansas Air National Guard at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
